Parish Administrator
Position Description:
The Parish Administrator (PA) reports to the Rector to manage the business of the parish, including the areas of risk management, human resources, facility management, staff management, calendar coordination, and communication. The PA seeks to provide a safe environment, to run an efficient and economical parish, and to facilitate organizational communication. This position averages 27 hours/week, is a salaried position, and includes benefits. While the parish office hours are Monday-Thursday, 9 to 3, Friday, 9-Noon, some weekend and night work may be required.
Qualifications
Education: B.A. or higher degree
Experience: Some experience in ministry, whether paid or unpaid, is required. An understanding or familiarity with the Episcopal Church is preferred.

- Monitor & Schedule regular maintenance of facilities
- Produce, edit, and print bulletins for Sunday worship
- Manage Member Database
- Physical ability to lift 35 pounds
Compensation
Annual Salary = $35,000.00
Pension Contribution Match = 4%
Health Care or Comp in Lieu of Health Care = $6,000
Time Off:
(PA) is required to take 3 weeks of vacation time with full compensation per year. Vacation time does not accumulate year to year.
5 days of sick leave per year.
5 personal days and/or bereavement days per year
Family Leave
In the event of the birth or adoption of a child, the PA will take 6 weeks of family leave with full compensation and benefits.
Church Nursery Worker
Purpose: To provide safe, reliable, care for the children of God, ages 0-3 years, in a clean and secure environment.
About
Every Sunday morning, we provide the nursery from 9:00 - 12:00 for the children of choir members and those who attend worship and educational programs. Currently the Sunday nursery is staffed by two paid workers.
The nursery is also available for special or seasonal services and events, including but not limited to: choral events, special meetings, educational programs, Christmas and Easter services, Ash Wednesday Services, and Holy Week services. The regular nursery workers will be given first opportunity to work these events and will be given at least two weeks advance notice.
Responsibilities:
- Provide age-appropriate care while maintaining a safe environment according to Safe Church Guidelines.
- Care needs include feeding, changing diapers, escorting to the bathroom, holding or sitting with and cheerfully interacting with children through age appropriate songs, stories, games, crafts, etc.
- Be polite, friendly, and courteous to all children, parents, and volunteers.
- Ensure safety of the nursery environment, i.e. cleaning products and medications stored out of reach of children, outlet covers on electrical outlets, etc.
- Stay until ALL children are secured with a responsible adult named on the children’s registration form.
- Ensure the nursery is empty, lights out, and the door closed when you leave.
- In the event of an emergency, an Usher can help you locate the parent during services or come and notify a member of the clergy.
- Communicate needs for supplies to the clergy in charge of Children’s ministries (for the time being the Rector).
- Report to the clergy in charge of Children’s ministries (currently the rector) any issues which hinder the carrying out of the duties or responsibilities.
- Absences will be communicated in advance to the clergy in charge of Children’s ministries by phone, text, or email.
- Any planned absences will be communicated with 2 weeks advance notice
- Any unplanned absences should be communicated as soon as possible by phone.
- Submit your timesheets by the 25th of each month. Checks will be direct deposited on the 1st of each month as part of the monthly payroll.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience in caring for children between the ages of 0-3 with the ability to adapt and interact with the variety of ages and personalities.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Satisfactory completion of background check
- Must adhere to the Policy Guidelines of St. Patrick’s and the Episcopal Church.
- Includes maintaining Safe Church Certification through an online class
Miscellaneous:
- Nursery workers report to the Clergy for Children’s Ministries (currently the Rector)
- Paid Nursery Workers are expected to work holidays on occasion, esp. those that fall on Sunday, and will be asked to work additional hours during busy time, i.e. Holy Week.
- Dependability is essential. Tardiness and excessive unscheduled absences may result in termination of employment.
- Termination may occur for failure to carry out job duties as described above or failure to comply with the Safe Church Policies of the Episcopal Church.
- Immediate termination will occur in cases of intentional verbal, physical, or emotional abuse or neglect of any child, parent, or church member.
