Nursery
The nursery is staffed during the school year from 9:30 a.m. until noon.
Our nursery is available for children from infants through age 4. It is open during the Sunday 9:30 a.m. worship service, providing a welcoming and caring space for our youngest children.
The nursery is staffed by two paid caregivers who provide loving care and engage the children in age-appropriate activities, play, and learning.
The nursery is thoroughly cleaned every Sunday afternoon by our cleaning crew.
Beginning around age 4, we encourage children to participate in Godly Play during the 9:30 a.m. worship service. At the same time, we encourage all children to experience worship alongside their parents and the wider church community as they grow in faith and discover their place in the life of the church.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY: GODLY PLAY
Wonder, Story, Prayer & Belonging
At St. Pat’s, we believe children are an important part of the life of our church. Our Children’s Ministry, Godly Play, welcomes children from preschool through 5th grade and meets every Sunday during the 9:30 a.m. worship service, from September through May.
Our goal is simple: to create a safe, joyful, and welcoming place where children can wonder about God, hear the stories of our faith, ask questions, create, pray, and discover that they belong in God’s family.
We are blessed with a team of approximately 20 trained volunteers who share in this ministry. Every volunteer completes Safe Church training, and each classroom has at least two adults present, helping us create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
Preschool–2nd Grade
Our younger children experience Godly Play through stories, crafts, coloring, action songs, hands-on activities, and plenty of time for wondering. Through age-appropriate stories and creative experiences, children are invited to explore Scripture and begin discovering who God is and how God is present in their lives.
3rd–5th Grade
Our older children meet in Smith Parish Hall for a deeper exploration of our life together as the Church. They learn about baptism, Eucharist, worship, the seasons of the church year, and how we live out our faith through service to others.
Their learning remains rooted in the Godly Play approach—through story, wonder, conversation, creativity, and hands-on activities—while inviting them to go deeper into the meaning of our worship and the Christian life.
At every age, our hope is that children will know they are loved by God, welcomed by the Church, and called to wonder, grow, and serve.

Youth entering 8th grade and above are invited to participate in our two-year Confirmation program,
a journey of faith, learning, community, and spiritual growth that prepares young people for the sacrament of Confirmation.
Confirmation gives youth space to explore what they believe, ask honest questions, learn about the Episcopal tradition, deepen their relationship with God, and discover how their faith connects with everyday life. Through Scripture, prayer, worship, conversation, service, and community, they are invited to discern how God is calling them to live and serve.
The program begins in September 2026, with the Confirmation service planned for spring 2028.
Year 1 Schedule
Please make sure your youth can attend at least 7 of the 8 Year 1 sessions.
If this schedule does not work for your family this year, we encourage you to consider waiting until Confirmation is offered again in 2028.
Classes meet once a month during the school year on Sundays, 5:00–7:30 p.m.

YOUTH
The Youth (ages 6th grade to High School Graduation) of St. Patrick's meet weekly September through May on Sunday evenings 5:00-7:00. A night at youth group starts with dinner, and then the planned activity. Youth activities range from field trips and opportunities to serve to playing games and learning spiritual practices. All youth activities encourage a relationship with Jesus, Self, and Others, and are designed to aid the faith life development of our future generation.
