The Way of the Cross

The stations for the Way of the Cross here at St. Patrick's were designed by our various ministries.  They offer visual representations to link the station with concerns or efforts of the ministries themselves.
Station One: Jesus is Condemned to Death
This Station was designed by our Prison Ministry: Kairos
Station Two: Jesus Takes up His Cross
Built by our Youth Group, using 1,620 popsicle sticks.  The sticks represent the number of children worldwide who will die of hunger related issues during the 2 hours and fifteen minutes of a single Youth Group meeting here at Church.
Station Three: Jesus Falls the First Time
Built by our Sunday School students, using clay depictions of bandages, and pictures drawn by the kids to describe what falling down is like, how it happens, and what it does to us.
Station Four: Jesus Meets His Afflicted Mother
Designed by some of our young mothers here at St. Patrick's, with pictures of themselves and their children.
Station Five: Simon of Cyrene Carries the Cross
Designed by our Men's Group, depicting ministries of service through home repair
Station Six: A Woman Wipes the Face of Jesus
From our Knitting Ministry
Station Seven: Jesus Falls a Second Time
Prayers from our Partners-in-Prayer Ministry
Station Eight: Jesus and the Women of Jerusalem
From our Episcopal Church Women (ECW)
Station Nine: Jesus Falls a Third Time
From the Staff
Station Ten: Jesus is Stripped of His Garments
Images of the Homeless provided by our Friends of the Homeless Ministry
Station Eleven: Jesus is Nailed to the Cross
A Dogwood Tree Draped in Red Cloth from our Landscaping Ministry
Station Twelve: Jesus Dies
