Educational Programs
Education of Young Children

During worship, children age 3 through 1st grade spend a portion of the service in their own worship environment, learning about the lessons of the day and the nature of prayer and worship

After the 9:30 service, from 11 to 11:45 am, we have Sunday School for those age 3 through 5th grade

Our curriculum concentrates on scirpture and the tradition of the Church.  We use an Episcopal-based curriculum that highlights the Sunday lessons and practices of the Church

Education of Adults

We have numerous programs for adults

Sunday Morning
While our children attend Sunday School, adults have an opportunity to participate in educational programs designed specifically for them on a variety of topics: including prayer, scripture, church history, and Christian living

Education for Ministry (EFM)
We sponsor two EFM groups, which provide a thorough, in-depth education in scripture, theology, history and the application of faith to life

Bible Study
There is an online Bible Study the 1st and 3rd Wednesday's of the month.

Spiritual Direction

Devine + Wine
An informal conversation about God, life and everything.  Currently meeting at Mary Kelley's Restaurant accross the street from the church on the last Wenesday of the month at 7:00 pm.

What is your Carbon Footprint?

Stewardship is not just about money, but also about our care of God’s creation.   ‘Cool Congregations’ adds a new dimension to regular stewardship programs by asking interested congregants to pledge and to implement energy efficient measures in their own homes.   Your carbon footprint represents the effect you have on the climate in terms of the total amount of greenhouse gases you produce (measured in units of carbon dioxide) when you burn fossil fuels to power your home, or travel.    "Cool Congregations" participants first measure their carbon footprint, then choose steps to take to reduce it by 10% over the next year by taking some simple actions such as switching to compact fluorescent light bulbs, turning off unnecessary lights, making the home more energy efficient through weather-stripping, etc.  ‘Cool Congregations’ is a program of Ohio Interfaith Power and Light, one of twenty-eight state affiliates with Interfaith Power & Light.

Add a new dimension to your stewardship commitments: Calculate your carbon footprint, find ways to Reduce it, Pledge your reduction to your faith community, Save money, Help Prevent Global Warming pollution.

Get your energy utilization information together by gathering the following for your household:

·         Car make, model, mpg, and miles driven for the last 12 months

·         Airplane miles flown in the last 12 months

·         Last 12 months kilowatt total for electricity usage (summarized history is on many utility bills)

·         Last 12 months heating used, and

·         Garbage produced each week measured in gallons (kitchen bags are 13 gallons, large garbage bags are 33).

Use the carbon footprint checklist link below to record our household data, then contact a member of the Earth Stewardship Team to have your carbon footprint calculated.  After you take steps to make your household more energy efficient (we'll give you some simple ways to do this), we'll calculate your carbon footprint again to see how much it's reduced.
